Vegetable growers rely on direct-to-consumer sales

Here is an article I found interesting published in the Southeast Farm Press.  Many are interested in raising vegetables to sell to the public as part of their semi-retirement strategy.  This article examines the trend in direct to consumer sales of vegetables.

“In 2007, vegetable sales were 28 percent of all direct-to-consumer sales.”
